We have recently introduced 4 new school values, with a staff team that is committed to implementing them on a daily basis.

We create a safe, nurturing environment where students feel listened to and supported. Care means recognising when someone is struggling, using respectful language, and helping each other to feel emotionally and physically safe. Staff focus on support first, helping students regulate, reflect and repair relationships so that everyone feels valued.
Belong
Belonging sits at the heart of Millgate School. We work deliberately to ensure every student feels accepted, included and part of the school community. Through trusted adult relationships, consistent routines and inclusive practices, students are supported to feel safe to participate and connect with others.
Achieve
Achievement at Millgate means recognising effort, growth and progress. Success looks different for every student, and we celebrate small steps as well as major milestones. Learning is scaffolded and personalised to help students build confidence and develop the skills they need for future success.
Believe
We believe in our students, even when they find it hard to believe in themselves. Staff maintain high expectations while offering understanding and support. Students are encouraged to develop resilience, self-belief and the confidence to learn from mistakes and move forward positively.
